Tailgate or barn doors?

Tailgate for me - I like being able to see better out the rear window and having the rear wiper.

I prefer the barn doors for utility. Since no new trucks come with them some people think their custom lol. Don't like the blind spot but not really an issue for me.

Can't take pictures of dead critters real well on a barndoor and siting on one is a PITA....literally. Love my tailgate, it's a deal breaker.

On my two door I have the tailgate which is what I have always preffered becuase you don't get an obstructed view through the rear view mirrow.

I vastly prefer the look of the tailgate, which is what I have on mine. However, I think I'd vastly prefer the function of the barn doors -- dunno for sure since I haven't played with a set of them, but I think the tailgate gets in my way.

I wanted barn doors but this is my first Chevy so I am not to picky. I tailgate on a 99 Tahoe.

I hate the barn doors. I dislike the blind spot and hate that you can't put long wood or pipes or whatever I may need to put in the back. I like putting the tailgate down and sitting in it listening to music in the afternoon and also like to not get hit by the barn doors when it is windy. I also like that I can roll with the tailgate down and have my woofers pumping because I only have 2 windows that go down due to me having a 2 door hoe. I just think it was a better design and best part is it doesn't leak!

Question? Are the "Barn Doors" and "Tailgate" an option? I'm asking because, I am looking for a 99 2dr 4x4 Tahoe, but I want the tailgate not the barn doors. So do I look for an LS, LT, or did both come in both forms?
