Tailgate or barn doors?

Pretty much the only reason we bought the Escalade was cause every Tahoe or Yukon we looked at had the barn doors. It really depends on what your going to do. Any chance of moving anything big you need the tailgate. But for everyday shopping loading/unloading grocery's, luggage, etc the barn doors. JMHO

Question? Are the "Barn Doors" and "Tailgate" an option? I'm asking because, I am looking for a 99 2dr 4x4 Tahoe, but I want the tailgate not the barn doors. So do I look for an LS, LT, or did both come in both forms?

See my post above. I think it was certain years that one was available over the other. My father was looking for a tahoe or yukon but had to spend nearly 4k more to get the tailgate in the escalade....
