What do you all feel. I really feel all manufacturers should start showing on their invoices /window stickers how much is being applied to the unit for the new 25% tarrifs. Just imagine a new Yukon xl Denali ultimate could go up $20k plus. And don't forget sales tax will be compounded on that..

Hey they said the other country would pay for it! No fair!

Hahaha we deserve the price hikes.
With that said it will be interesting as the car markets price it in.

Demand will fall so they will have to cut their profits. But with all the job loss and recession I feel like many manufacturers will make cuts to their work force etc.

With that said the full size is texas made but aroind 50% of the parts are sourced from over seas. Another issue that's gonna happen is that as other cars rise in price other makers will increase their own to match even if unaffected because why not? What choice would you have?

I think prices rise than fall and keep falling as demand decreases across the board.

Gonna be a bumpy decade if we make it out. Good luck!

I imagine parts still coming in from overseas will have an impact.

Yup. They should make it clear up front somewhere how much extra the cost will be but with the constant change of how they're applied and what percentage it probably won't get noted on the window sticker unless it becomes consistent for a while.

On our 2019 the window sticker shows US/Canadian parts content: 41%, Major sources of foreign parts content: Mexico 46%, Engine and transmission: United States. Assembly: Arlington Texas

So I'd guess half the vehicle price is from imports that will be taxed giving a +or- 12% price increase.

Consider Buick though, near 100% Chinese I think?
