To all that have done this swap before, what did you guys use to adapt the factory 8-pin throttle body plug to that of the 6-pin throttle body adapter on the stock throttle body on the TBSS intake? I’ve seen the X-Link that’s over $240 and have also seen a adapter offered on Summit that is significantly cheaper at approximately $46. The description of the $46 adapter says it does the basics and converts 8 to 6 pin but research shows that lots of people say the X-Link is the only option while a few say it’s over price and unnecessary. So to those that have experience with this swap can you shed light on this? What did you guys do for this? At this point, I’m leaving towards using the stock LQ4 throttle body as opposed to the bigger TBSS TB since it’s a simple plug and play and won’t cost me over $200 for a small harness.

X link as far as I know is the only option. Currently I'm running an ls3 tb (gold blade) with an x link

That’s what was fearing. Lol. Hard to imagine paying that much for that adapter harness. I’m wondering if I’ll even notice a huge difference using the larger 4 bolt TB versus the stock LQ4 3 bolt unit. My 6.0 will be stock other than a ported throttle body (both 3 bolt and 4 bolt) and the slightly ported Trailblazer SS intake.

I own 2 x links because its the only option I've ever heard of or found during my research. On a small displacement N/A motor I don't see the cost being worth the swap to a bigger throttle body. The TBSS intake though is worth a good little bit.

Post a link of the summit part and maybe call and ask them their tech support is really good.

Thanks for the link but I’m likely going to stay with the Trailblazer SS intake and the drive by wire setup. I’m just going to look at whether the stock truck TB will work well enough for my engine setup as opposed to the Trailblazer SS 4 bolt throttle body.

I contacted Summit and spoke with Casper Electronics who made the other harness I thought may work. Summit did not know if it would work or not but Casper told me they did not have a harness that would work for this so you guys are correct on the X-Link being the only option.

Thanks for your input though. I think I’ll stick with the 3 bolt throttle body and get a 4 bolt to 3 bolt adapter plate.

Lol. So was I. I just couldn’t believe another company hadn’t jumped into that space yet. I read that the X-Link allows for 100% throttle usage or something along those lines. Can you explain what’s significant about it since you have one? Thanks.
