Tech advice for factory NAV

I have a chance to get a factory NAV. Head unit from a 2004, but I have a 2002 Tahoe. Will it work ? Plug and play etc

It won't be direct plug and play. The nav unit will have the Bose setup and the amp wired in behind it. Plus the 2002 doesn't have a double din opening for the stereo and the 2004 nav unit is a double din so it wouldn't be an easy install to make it fit. Plus the stock nav units kinda suck. The original unit in my 2006 was starting to not with right when I bought the car and there weren't really any options to get it fixed. I went with an aftermarket unit. Its a much better option in my opinion.

completely different wiring. I would take so much to make it wok it's not worth it. 03+ OEM won't work in pre 03

03. Is when it all changed. You would be doing better getting a aftermarket with blue tooth use your phone nav.
