Temp gauge rising and falling?

I assume I need to go ahead and replace the heater core too, or is there a fix for it being clogged/plugged?

You can flush the whole system with prestone super flush. You can drive with it in your system for a day or two, then flush it with garden hose. Much easier than replacing heater core.

just use a Prestone rad flush kit and cleaning solution to clean and back flush it first. You do sound like you got low fluid levels somewhere if you hear gurgling in the dash.

I'm going to go ahead and put a new radiator in tomorrow and see if that solves the problems. Hopefully it will!
