kinda having second thoughts on the XL. Feel like it might be overkill for me right now.

Having said that, I found a dealer that actually has the Denali that I wanted to begin with.

2015i Yukon Denali
Champagne Silver
Open Road Package
Roof Rack Cross Rails
MSRP: $70,435

Based on the prices I've seen on Laura GMC site and looking at comparable vehicles, I am thinking in the 60-62k range. What do you guys think?

On a side note, where have all the Cocoa/Dark Atomosphere Yukon's gone? no one has them.

I am fine with Black interior but not a fan of the two tone. i.e. below window line black, above window line shale. Again, just me being nitty.

And finally, the wife will ask, well, if your not getting the XL for the larger cargo space, why even bother getting a regular Yukon if when 3rd row in use has the same cargo space as the Pilot. *sigh* the voice of reason.

We are currently debating on the Denali vs Denali XL. We have two kids under 4. I don't want anymore kids but she says "what if...". I like the looks of the regular Denali 10x better than the XL. I like how the regular one is lighter and easier to park. It fits in my garage with plenty of room to spare. If I need the extra cargo room, I'll get a hitch mount cargo carrier for that one trip, if that. I don't see me having 6 people in the car on a long trip with luggage ever happening. I can do 5 and fold down half of the 3rd seat and be fine. It's that 6th or 7th person coming along for the ride with luggage that would suck.

I want my Denali optioned just like you listed. Open Road Package and 22" wheels for a MSRP of $71,120. Laura GMC has about 5 of them like this currently, discounted to $64K.

If I can find a dealer to sell me one for $62K, I'd go buy one immediately. I think the demand is too high to get these discounts right now. Keep me posted, I am getting the itch to buy one!

The Yukon and Pilot are 2 totally different cars. You can tell your wife that the Pilot doesn't have the bucket seats in the 2nd row (at least I don't think it does).
I don't think that you're going to find a local dealer to match or come close to the Laura price. If you find a local dealer that will sell you one for $60-62k, grab it.

Saw your post in "Prices Paid", well done sir. You're right, the demand seems to be really high for these vehicles.

Interesting, I assumed all GMC dealers oferred the Costco supplier discount but it seems as though the dealership I am looking at doesn't. Going to login into Costco auto program when I get home to verify.

Amen.

The 2nd row bucket seats are key. Let's be honest, the 3rd row even in the Yukon is way too cramped for adults. I plan to put the car seats in the 3rd row and use the 2nd row for adult seating. If no adult seating needed, the default position of the bucket seats will be folder up to provide easier access to 3rd row.

Does the Pilot have a heated steering wheel, cooled seats, remote start, HID headlights, LEDs, power pedals/steering wheel w/ memory, hands free tailgate, blue ray DVD, and most importantly 420HP and can tow 8,000lbs. ha.

If a Yukon Denali was $50K instead of $70K, I think everyone would have one. Even at $60K, nothing can touch it. Thankfully there is $8K to be had off MSRP.

Checked out a new GL 450 for $75K yesterday. I don't know who in their right mind would buy one over a Yukon Denali for the same price. Even the Infiniti QX80 doesn't compare. None of them offer true middle row bucket seats. The buckets with a console in the middle are worthless.

All good points.

Turns out this particular dealer that supposedly has the Yukon mentioned above in stock "in transit" is part of the Costco program. Waiting for them to give me a call regarding availability.

Will keep you guys posted.

Thanks

Anyone test drove a '15 Lincoln Navigator? For $66K, it compares nicely to the SLT. Just no adaptive CC, collision warning or heated steering wheel. If you could get $12K off, I might entertain one.

ok. Wanted to update you guys on progress.

I found a dealer by my sister in laws. Spoke with the dealer yesterday and they have the 2015i Yukon I have been looking for. *fingers crossed* heading down there this weekend to test drive and possibly close the deal if the price is right.

Hopefully, I don't flake out like this guy.

Ok guys. Need some expert advice from the forum members here.

Went to dealership today( dealer called me earlier in the week to let me know he got in a Yukon Denali I was looking for)

Champagne silver
Open road package
Roof rails
MSRP 70,435

I mentioned Costco auto program and the price he gave me was 65,644.70. Surprisingly, this was spot on with the Yukon I built in gmsupplier website.

Everything broke down when it came to my trade in. Another dealer previously quoted me 24k. This dealer is only giving me 22k. Initially said 21k but bumped it up after I mentioned that I had another dealer offer 24k.

So I left and checked out another dealership which had one as well. Well, that was a disaster.

So. I want to go back to the initial dealership and accept the 22k trade in but feel like I've lost all negotiability now since I left. What do you think? I plan to go back tomorrow to see what kind of deal I can work out. Plus, these Yukon denalis seem hard to come by with delays and such. I feel the dealer thinks he can move the Yukon without Costco auto program.

So. What's my play? Ask for lower price? If no go, ask for dealer installed accessories like the Thule luggage mount?

Thanks guys. The champagne silver color is SICK!!!

Oh yeah. One thing I forgot to mention. Dealership is in Long Island,NY. I checked prices at Laura GMC and concluded there is no way a dealer in tri state NY will even come close to Laura gmc price.
