I bought my Hoe about 2 months ago and have been sorting out issues ever since. This forum and you guys and gals have been so helpful you'll never know!

Steering was real twitchy, did and search, disconnected EVO sensor, and wow what a difference!

Tow/Haul Button didn't work, did and search, soldered broken wires back together at the shifter, problem solved.

Engine knocks at start up, did a search, it's normal for THESE motors. I couldn't help but laugh when certain people were blaming the use of aluminum for the slap. Um..... just about every piston in every motor for the past several decades has been aluminum, wouldn't they all slap if this were the case? But I digress.

Still have the hazard relay making noise intermitently, and the fuel guage works when it wants to. Fuel pump is pretty loud too. I'm pretty sure it'll leave me stranded one day, lol.

I have a Specter Intake on the way, Oregon is sending the Corvette servo and the 4th/OD servo, and I went ahead and got a big ass trans cooler. I ordered a Magnaflow 12589 and I'm hoping that it's on the quiet side of loud, as I don't want to be getting too much attention. I bought a set of 20" wheels and 285s, and what a difference in looks and handling! More props to you guys on the help with offset! Next is a BB tune, E-fans, and a drop from Tony.

Love the truck, love the forum, thanks so much for all the help! You guys absolutely ROCK!

Thanks,
Dan

It seems that my Tow/Haul button took a vacation already.
Have not tested enough to see if it realy works or not, but the light in the cluster does not lit up. (Tried with two different clusters.)
So is there a fuse for this Tow/Haul system? Or do you think there is a wire loose like you had?

The wires breaking at the base of the shifter is a fairly common problem. I'd start there if I were you. I'm fairly confidant that the tow/haul function isn't fused on its own circuit as its a function of the pcm, and I believe power to the cluster and all of the associated dash lights are on one circuit.
