The 1500 HD Build Thread

As a few of you know I just bought a brand spankin' new 2010
Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RCSB 4x4 5.3L 6Spd Work Truck.
I've been working a lot lately and haven't had any time to post or take pics
of the mods I've done thus far. This will be a really quick build up thread.
Since buying it 3 weeks ago, I've thrown on some nnbs Z71 stickers, redone the exhaust, and installed a JVC double din. Pics tomorrow, and then I'll start surprising you all with all kinds of goodies next week. So Enjoy my Official Build Thread!!!

As always, when I get the pics up post suggestions.

I'm also trying to figure out what they call a NNBS silverado police package, would it be Z56? Or something else? I want to find out and then get those stickers instead of the z71 stickers, as I'm going for a tactical police looking vehicle.

( take in mind, I like my vehicles tactical looking and useful, and I hate chrome and big wheels. )

Congrats on the Silvy.
I don't know the answer to any of your questions, but do you plan on using Z71 wheels?

Thanks man, your hoe is sick as well! Its alright man, I hope some one does though. I'm not going with the Z71, I thought of it but nah... I'm either going to with real 17" police wheels off a fleet police Tahoe or I'm gonna go with some procomp 17x9.5 wheels that look pretty much just like cragar soft 8's. As for tires, something aggressive.

I'll list the things going on, at the latest by next Friday. I've boughten all that I list :

Rough Country 3" suspension lift + HD control arms
Custom Magnum Headache Rack
Bushwacker Extenda Flare
%20 tint
Black Tool box
Should have custom center console done by Tuesday to mount my Carson SA-500M, my switchbox, and my cobra 19. It'll also house a seperate area for switches/buttons for a couple things including the switch for the Grover Stutter horn.

That sounds like a juicy build. If I were you Iwould go with the 17" ProComps. But if KMC makes 17" wheels like the 20" one Brucebruse45 was selling, I would def. want those!

Got the tint on, my cameras toast. I'm gonna get a new one today. I got limo tint all around hahaha. Friggen 5%, it looks badass.

Ok the truck is a pig right now, straight nasty! But I promised, so here off my new Canon T2I Rebel EOS. Didn't do interior shots yet.




Kinda hard to see the exhaust how it is now at this angle its just the picture though and the fact that the exhaust is really dirty and the truck is + the lighting is bad because of weather conditions

so its a 6 speed manual?
i have beel looking for a 2 door v8 stick for days and cant find one i really want a NNBS silvy stick 2 dr short bed 2x4 the dealer said id have to order it

Yeah supposivly there is only like 5 people in sarasota county that have the silverado nnbs 4x4 short bed regular cab with the 5.3L and the 6 speed according to sunset chevy.
So good luck finding one, ask them to do a dealer trade.

Btw, its an automatic 6 spd with the 6L80E I'm pretty sure they only make the v6 with the 5 speed and thats it for manuals. Nice thing about the 5.3L with the 6 speed, its fully tiptronic so you use all 6 gears.
