No don't believe I have. Kids yes, not appropriate yet of course for the under 10 ages....haha. I'll see if I can upload a video. PW just killed a sweet set down the road from my house. I actually got to walk home. Hard to pick a 1hr 15min set out of 150 songs, but they blew the place up. Saw a few guys get ejected before they even came on from the local bands. The pit was full of asses and elbows and a few brawls. Idiots!!

First and foremost, congratulations on the new baby boy! Now, as for the collision, sorry to see that it happened, very glad that you are ok. Even if 'others' are telling you "it isn't that bad," this is not one of those posts. Please make sure that even if you plan on doing the body work before paint, you have it checked out by a reputable shop for the estimate and check for possible further structural damage. I'd hate to have you pull things apart only to find more bent parts further back that either are not covered by a quick pay off by insurance or missed all together. I wish you all of the best, and truly hope you are able to take this set back and turn it into a positive with the Esky bumper and Corsa exhaust.

Thanks Joe, that helps/means a lot! Especially coming from (just guessing by the profile pic) a brother smoke eater / hose dragger!
Assessment comes bright and early tomorrow morning, so pretty much it's out of my hands at this point, but at the very least, going back to the way it was, I will make certain of that!
Spoke with the assessor on the phone (he called at 8:30pm on a Sunday... thought that was odd), got off to a rocky start when he said he was coming to look at and take pictures of our 2011 equinox... ugh... wrong car, that's my wife's... I corrected him and explained how this is the only non breathing thing that I care about, to which he reassured me, he's a "car guy" and we will "get things right".... fingers crossed for some turned luck!

Ha! I thought you were a fellow brother! And yes, the profile pic is an old picture of me from back in 2000. I hope the assessor is truly a "car guy" and able to make it right for you!

So am I safe to guess you're a "truckie" or just coincidence with screen name?

Joe

cONGRATS ON THe New addition to the family and sorry about the accident. FYI, if you are not at fault, your deductible is waived and they go after the other driver for mini tort. Do not let them con you into paying your "deductible" in Michigan, if you rear end someone, you are automatically at fault for failure to maintain a safe driving distance, regardless of circumstances. If cops were involved, the police report would reflect that she was at fault, which means, you dont pay, despite the no fault bs. Take you truck to a reputable shope and get a free estimate...do this 3 times to get a base amount of what it would cost to fix and also check for structural/frame damage. Use those number to get an average amount and make sure the insurance company writes you a check for nothing less than the average of 3 independent quotes that you got. Also, under michigan law, insurance companies can go after other drivers and thier insurance provider for mini tort, which is up to 1000 dollars.

Thanks man! Really appreciate it! I contacted her insurance Co and passed on everything they needed/requested to get going on the Mini Tort... hopefully that goes smoothly...

Update: The ball is a rollin... stopped by the dealership today (where I'm having the body work done, I worked as a tech there for 6-7 years and trust their work, also still get my employee discount!) there was a $1.35 difference in cost with the esky bumper and the hitch cover was actually cheaper... so , anyway, no going back now, she's on her way! So now the exhaust... I want the esky stock tips, but as for right now, to get it all taken care of and just all out easier for the time being (can't swindle the insurance to cover the esky tips obviously) so I'm taking what I have saved for my CK375s (super sad about that cos I'm so close and so bummed with the rims I currently have) and ordering the corsa sport system with the quad rear tips... stay tuned!

Joe

The screen name would be partial coincidence now that I think about it... I'm positioned on our downtown tower, so yeah, truckie... but as for the screen name, mainly on account of me being a humongous Chevy Chase fan... the "Wagon Queen - Family Truckster (in metallic pea)" was the primary vehicle in the Lampoon's Griswold Vacation movies...
