I mounted a 6d Maglite under my glove box using the existing screws used to attach the glove box hinge and door for less than $10.
You will need these mounting clips:

While the clips are designed to have two mounting holes, they really only need one fastening point per clip when they are attached to your dashboard. They fit snugly and will not rotate once in position.
Since there are three different screws on your hinge, you can space the mounting clips a few different ways to suit your needs and the length of your flashlight. I have mounted both a 3D and a 6D this way. I am not certain a 2D is long enough to reach the clips when they are mounted this way.
