Yeah, my Sierra was a 2" drop, as well. The problem with the large drop is that the capacity lowers. The truck is rated for 8K+, but the hitch is limited to 5K on the 8" drop. I'm currently shopping for a higher capacity drop hitch.

Let me know if you find something. I would love something that can handle the full towing capacity.

In the mean time, get yourself a proper 8" drop hitch, which is the right height for this vehicle. Honestly, you could probably get away with a 10" drop because of the way they put the receiver so high.


Yep they sure are up high for stock. I thought it was crazy that the 8" drop hitch I use with my lifted Jeep works perfect for the wifes stock Yukon hahaha.
