Hi all.. Been looking for a 2 door tahoe for a while. Not for a dd, but just to work on. I didnt know it was going to be a hard task, but being that i live in the midwest, every truck I went to see had bad rust. Rust is being nice, rotted panels to be more exact. I almost gave up. Then i found my 1995 Tahoe. So clean and body rust free. Purchased it last week. I have removed the side moldings and mudflaps, then buffed and waxed the paint.
Engine runs good, but has a rough idle while stopped on drive. I adjusted the timing it was a little off. Might just need a tuneup. Other than that and an exhaust leak that i have to look into, im happy with it. I have found alot of helpful tips here thanks all..

Thanks all.. Ended up picking it up for $4900 from some wealthy dude with a very nice house on a private drive in Elburn Illinois.. Funny thing i found on the owners manual, when the previous owner purchased it in 95, he was keeping track of the miles per gallon and wrote on the manual the dates when he filled up, the mileage, and the price of fuel. On one fill up gas was $1.22! He was filling the tank for around $20! Can you imagine?

I remember back when I got my Expedition back in '01, i panicked when gas prices spiked way up.... to $1.69. After spending $80 today to fill up my 'Hoe (from a quarter tank), I would kill to get back to that price...
