I miss the good ol' days of being able to easily work on cars, without some expensive piece of equipment to find out whats potentially wrong.

I remember the good ol' days of sticking a paperclip into the OBD port to get the engine light to flash. Such simpler times.

I had one of these. Used a paperclip, too. The list was only a few codes, too. Just needed paper and pen.

When my son had his 86 TA I had to teach him how to do this.

Last two days I have primed and painted the right bumper filler piece for the 96 Tacoma. Installed it this morning and looks great. My main neighborhood contact's son owns the truck and he is happy.

I had ordered the left and right front door weatherstrip seals for my friend's Tundra and were supposed to be here today via USPS but some other items came by them but not his package. I bet it does not make it and will be here Monday or maybe even tomorrow. Hoping these OE parts install smoothly.

The weatherstrips, for the Tundra, went on/in like butter. Quick and easy and then I charged him $20 labor and reinspected the air snorkle repair I did and was sealed good and tight and engine still ran like a top and no CEL. Happy Camper!

I am supposed to get the left side small metal bumper filler for the landlord's son's 96 Tacoma, tomorrow and I will paint it and then should be all done with that vehicle after install.

Then I am out of work again.

My girl is flying out of town to Texas on Saturday to stay with daughter for about 2 weeks. Hope to stay out of trouble during those two weeks.

Are you painting with a paint both or freestyle? I've tried painting a car part many many years ago. Didn't go as planned. I'll stick to my day job!
