Long story made short...

Ice fell off the building at work.

KBB says trade in value is roughly $11,000.

Anyone have thoughts on if this damage would total out my truck?

Im going to say right on the line. If you dont care about aesthetics, i say buy it back, replace rear glass, sunroof glass, windshield, remove roof rack, paint the roof flat black, and drive it.

Wow man, sorry to hear about that. I do think it will be totaled. The windshield is over $400, the rear glass is $300, not sure about the moonroof glass. But the hood and roof will rack up the cost real quick.

Until you get a full quote from a shop you wont really know the full extent of damage. If this was close to the same damage as a roll over situ then you would look more into it being totaled but if your just looking at poppoing out the dents on the roof and replacing the glass I would say that you are looking at around 3k in repairs but that is looking at repaint and parts as just an guestament. Maybe one of the body guys here can give better opinions.

On the bright side if you are not looking at a total situ then you may look into talking to the body shop to do a two tone paint job and paint the upper half of the truck black. That would look sick. Wanting to do it my truck but not sure what color yet. Iv seen some Tahoes with two tone paint and it looks pretty good, just sayin. Anyways good luck and sorry this happened. My wife had kind of the same situ happen last winter but with crab pots falling on her hood and sliding down the front of bumper.

Nobody on the Internet can 100% answer that question. I would need to be there in person. Look at ever inch of the body including interior trim pieces that got damaged.
From the pics it doesn't look like $10k worth unless it nicked some of the side panels. Still be a hefty bill because of the roof alone. And like said the glass is always a big chunk.

So the Ford escaped or did it get nailed too?

Thanks for the insight everybody. It's such a freak thing & I really don't know what outcome I'm hoping for at this point. I really wanted to make this truck last until I could get into a 16 affordably, but now I might be stuck hunting for a 10-13 that I can keep payments in my range.

05Single - My vehicle was the only one to be damaged in the entire row of cars. Lucky for all the others I suppose.

When you get an estimate, see if they'll use used parts. That should keep the price down.

Damn, sorry man, that blows....hope you get your money out of it.

I work outside, in bucket trucks mostly, so im always in the air and im not saying its your fault by any means, and i dont think there anything you could have done to prevent it, (except parking in another spot but, i have assigned spaces at work and mine is under tree which annoys the piss outta me and maybe thats your situ) and maybe its because i am always up in the air, but i always look up before i park...
