You may not need to modify your exhaust to clear the front shaft. I didn't. The shaft only touches the exhaust when I get the truck air born.
My torsion keys are cranked down slightly to level it(old leafs).
You will be able to fit a roll pan with a suspension lift as your frame isn't moving in relation to the body.
You can jump your truck with no running boards. I have no running boards and I'd bet a dollar my truck has been air born more than most on this forum. But, without a body lift your tires will rub BAD. I have a 3" body lift in addition to the 6" suspension and when the front really compresses it rubs. The sheet metal at the back of my front fender well is curled and crushed from it.
Do as much of the work as you can yourself to save mounds of money.
A good quality lift that you won't have to worry about breaking is going to cost you. Gears and a locker will cost a good bit but you don't necessarily have to do that at the same time as the lift. I had my lift on for a while before I saved up enough for the new gear sets.
