When it comes to vehicles like these, the odds are better that it wasn't beat on because most rental companies won't rent ”specialty vehicles” to anybody under 25 and most business travelers won't pay for them. The big warning sign is the Enterprise e sticker that may be on the back. If there is one there think twice about the possible abuse. From what I know, all 2007+ Tahoes have factory installed trailer hitches. What to look for to see if it has the towing package is a transmission cooler. In these trucks the transmission cooler is in the radiator. All you have to look for is 2 small metal lines that run from the passenger side of the transmission to the passenger side of the radiator. These are easy to spot if you know what you're looking for. Additionally, the truck would have a power steering cooler in front of the radiator on the left side. It's very small so look for 2 small lines going to the radiator on the driver side. Additionally, you would have a heavy duty brake booster. I'm not sure how to tell if the truck you're looking at has it except for taking the VIN to the Chevy dealer and asking. Additionally, if you do end up buying a Tahoe you can purchase an auxiliary transmission cooler that runs in line with the factory transmission cooler for under $100 plus install. There is one warning I have about these trucks though, well actually 2. 1) The headlights are not easy to replace once they burn out. Replacement requires removing the front bumper cover in order to remove the headlight housing, which it's fairly easy if you know how to handle basic tools. The dealer charges 8/10 hour to do the job for you. 2) If you get one of these trucks and really get to experience its abilities you'll wonder why you didn't get one earlier.
