GMC chat says I'm at 2030, dealer says I'm still at 1100. The hilari-sad adventure of ordering a new GM vehicle continues.
I would ask your dealer for a screen shot, they can see where it sits at. I would take the dealers word over the chat. The chat had me at 3000 when i was truely at 1100 2 weeks ago. Lol

My dealer received an allocation for an Ultimate today, but they cannot order it with the 3.0L diesel which is a deal breaker for us. I was under the impression that the diesel constraint did not apply to the Ultimate, but I guess I was misinformed.

You should have ordered it anyway and then keep looking around in meantime

We’re already driving a scaled down 2022 Denali that our dealer hooked us up with while we wait since we’ve been technically waiting since May 2021. If it drags out much longer we might just wait until Super Cruise is available.

Yeah, that's been my same situation since order banks opened. In fairness, the order guides do say that the Luxury package will not be available at start of production so I guess we shouldn't be surprised. But there is something different with the Luxury package being on constraint versus other options like the Duramax or the Max Tow package. My dealer has not even been able to get an order into "1100" status with the Luxury package, but it seems with the other constraints you can at least get the order to 1100 and then it might sit there.

But I guess it really doesn't matter. The real question is when will all these constraints be lifted....

The constrains all are on transporting chips from asia. Shipping and logistics is a nightmare, and chip manufacturers are lagging in capacity for chips, and eveything uses chips so they have to use some capacity for all dfferent types of chips. May be another year or 2 before their new chip plants are up and running to make more chips, so possobly even longer to get the supply levels back up to where they need to be to support everything those chips are used in unfortunately.

Well not sure all manufacturers are in the exact same situation. While I'm not in a hurry, I won't wait forever to get something. And I definitely won't take something missing what I consider essential features. I've actually been talking with some Jeep dealers about the upcoming Wagoneer L. They have offered to put an order in for me and I haven't heard them mention these same constraints that the Yukon has. The biggest unknown of the Wagoneer is pricing as that hasn't been announced yet. But since production starts Aug 10th, I suspect pricing is not too far away. I prefer the GM solution with that Duramax. But again, a product isn't any good if you can't actually get one.
