I guess I don't get it. If you like it, that's cool. It's your rig....but to me it looks like a stripped down state rig now. What's next, a vinyl bench seat and orange paint job?

I guess I just like the chrome accents and emblems. Different strokes for different strokes, I guess. If it makes you happy, go for it. That plain look seems to be popular around here, though.

I was exaggerating. It doesn't look bad, but I prefer the mouldings. Hell, in 20 years people will probably be buying them from LMC to replace the ones all the previous owners removed...Just like they do with the 70's and 80's ones now!

I just strongly dislike chrome or chrome accents...and prefer just clean body lines... if the side moldings were all blue they may have stayed.
I'd really like to get full painted bumpers to finish the chrome elimination LOL but ya vinyl seat and orange paint will come this winter

This thread is funny, because I have had this conversation in my head a hundred times.

On the one hand, I agree strongly with RumorsOFsurf. I like these particular moldings on these particular trucks! I think they just look better with them than without.............but what's so funny, is that I am a "debadge and demold" guy all the way! I'm actually doing just that to my girls accord wagon as we speak.

But when it comes to my Yukon...........I just think they work?!! I like 'EM!! I think it's the whole package that determines the ultimate "demolded look". I've seen some guys who did it right, and it looks **** w/o moldings,so, who knows?

The bottom line IMO, is do what YOU like to your ride! You have to drive it, and the only opinion that should matter is yours!

The funniest thing about it, is that I bet you the dealer charged like a thousand dollars (add-on) for those moldings, now everybody wants them off! LoL!

Looks good Bluekon.

Been reading all the various posts on people taking the molding off. While I am contemplating taking of the badges... I think I am keeping my molding. It Gives it a wider looking stance around the wheels and the body molding blends it in.
