Throttle Body Cleaning

On the drive by wire throttle bodies. 2011. Do you clean them the same way as the older TB's ?

I have a 2011 work truck, 60,000 miles that is starting to run rough. Feels like it has an intermittent miss.

most GMs that ive seen dont have drive by wire throttle bodys or (electronic throttle body control) most are throttle actuated control
you say if feels like an intermittant miss ? has it thrown a code?

What's the difference between wire throttle body's or electronic throttle body control?

I just did this a few days ago on my 09. You can clean it the same as you would an older throttle body. It's a lot easier if you take the entire throttle body off - it's only one connector and 4 bolts. It's drive by wire, so the only precaution I took was to try to move the plate as little as possible while cleaning. I didn't want to mess with its default position.

Ok, I guess I misunderstood your first post. I thought you were saying there were difference types of electronically actuated throttle body’s.
