i have an 04 suburban with 72,000 miles and ive been noticing this weird ticking noise coming from the engine , i thought maybe lifters but it sounds electrical almost, like a taser noise i dont hear it much while i drive due to my exhaust but when i hit the gas to get around cars or just buzz around i can hear it for a few seconds get louder , any thoughts? im thinking maybe new plugs and wires but those shouldnt be due till 100,000 miles right?

get a spray bottle. one that can spray a nice fine mist.
Fill i with water.

This part must be done at night in a Dark area. as in no light or as little as possible.

Pop hood. crank engine. you choose the order :)
Use spray bottle and mist the plug wires and and plugs, all around them.
Look for the light show, aka sparks. once you find it. do some wacky rave dance.
Replace the leaky wire.
