Anybody familiar with these tire carriers?
http://www.tiregate.com/hg_series_0.shtml

I saw one locally but wasn't able to get a close look at it. Just found their website. I'll give them a call Monday and check prices.

When I had my 2 door, I always wanted to get one of these. They make some good products from what I've seen. If by chance I ever decide to long travel or SAS my 2500, I'll get their prerunner gate for it

Did you get a price when you were looking, they didn't have any prices on their website. When I clicked on some of their dealer links, all I found was the prerunner mounts.

For that price I would just get a rear bumper built.

Yea, Tactical Armour Group makes one. I have seen and messed with one up close. Wasn't real impressed with the visual quality of the welds. Structurally it was solid as a rock, but they could have done a better job grinding the welds. The latch mechanism was a little hard to get latched but I'm sure would function fine once your used to it. It sells for about the same price.

I've got a tailgate, so the back glass raises up. It looks like the back glass might just clear the Tire Gate carrier, the way it angles the tire out some but the TAG bumper mouted carrier definately would not.

I called the Tire Gate website store and here's the break down if you order it directly from them. These prices are for an OBS Tahoe.

Carrier $650

Lic Plate relocator $75

2 Gas can carrier that mounts on the carrier between the tire and the vehicle $330

Jack Carrier ($100 vertical mount) ($125 horizontal mount)

Hell with that price! I know for a fact that a 4x4 shop can built one for less money and be better quality. I been looking at the TAG and like the way they look. There is a shop on Baton Rouge that can build one like it and get all the stuff I want added to it for less money than them. I like supporting my local shops and if I can get something built I do it or if I got time I build it my self.
