Greetings! it has been awhile since I have been here.

I am searching for a new set of tires for my 2006 Yukon XL Denali (AWD). The vehicle has about 86,000 miles and I am on the THIRD set of tires! I have never had such poor luck with tires...ever.

I don't recall which stock tires came on it, but I replaced them about 30,000 miles with Toyo Open Country Highway Terrain, then replaced those at about 65,000 miles with Pirelli Scorpion ATR's. At just over 20,000 miles, they need to be replaced.

I would like an All Terrain tire that needs to do well in the rain, some snow, mostly on pavement and occasional travel in grass or dirt/gravel roads. That being said, I guess an all terrain is not necessary but still preferred. Some of the tires listed I have no experience with but have listed a few that I am considering but certainly open to others. Please advise experience, especially with the Crosstek's:

1. Bridgetsone Revo 2's
2. Nitto Crosstek
3. Hankook ATM
4. Bridgestone H/L (a tire dealer told me these are terrible)

I think the BFG A/T are too aggressive for my needs. I have considered the Michelin's, which may be must best option but I have seen several of our vehicles with the Nitto Crosstek's which, according to Nitto, have been designed for 1/2 ton SUV's and trucks with mild off-road use but primarily for on-road driving. I had good luck with the Revo 2's on a previous vehicle but rarely took it on the highway and decided to sell it less than I year after I had them and not sure how they would have done long term. I have considered the Michelin AT2's as well.

Also, don't overlook Bridgestone Dueler AT rhs. I just put a set or 265/70-17 on my 03 Tahoe and am very happy. Reviews are great, they are quiet and look great too. Revos also have a great Rep.

Have you had the front end looked at? If your truck is eating up tires it could be an alignment issue and/or worn out suspension components. If it is in fact one of those issues it wont matter what tire you throw under it. As for a tire recommendation, check out the Cooper Discover A/T 3. I run this tire on my truck in the winter. Its not a real aggressive AT tire and it has great highway manners. They are amazing in the snow and rain. They seem to be wearing great on my Escalade. I have about 7-8k on them now and they show very little wear. Price wise they are an excellent choice. If price isn't a big concern I wouldn't rule the BFG A/Ts out, they are not as aggressive as you may think. I ran these on my old ZR2 S10 years ago and it is by far one of the best tires I have ever run. Great road manners, they were very quiet and near unstoppable in the snow. I drove through over 1.5ft of snow in 2wd with out a problem. They also lasted me a solid 40K (bad alignment for at least 10k of those miles), I could have probably squeezed another 10K out of them but I was upgrading tire sizes at the time.
