I just scored a pair of 22's from my shop owner. He had them on a n obs tahoe. The current tires on there are 305/40/22. Two of the 4 tires need to be replaced. He had some front end damage that caused damage to the two front tires.

My question is, would it be ok to run thinner tires in the front and wider in the back?

I have 02 ls 4wd. I dont mind wider in the back for an aggressive look, but I dont want wide in the front.

Will different widths cause any drive train problems?

As long as they`re the same diameter i don`t see a problem except for rotating the tires which in my book is a pretty important thing to do every 5 to 6000 miles.
