I was scoping these forums for the biggest tires to fit a tahoe without modification and so far i THINK some people said a 285/75/16 is the biggest (it's time to replace the bike tires that the previous owner put on). I was just wondering if this would also be the case for the Z71 package. I don't know why it would be any different but if it is and someone knew, i'd like to know lol. Tires are the first thing on a long list of things my truck actually needs before i can do fun stuff

Yes. You might even rub a little with stock height and 285s. i know with my 4x4 and a 3" lift i had to cut some of the valence off.

285/75/16 is what I have now, see the picture below, my Tahoe is stock height, but even with what I'm running the wheel wells seem a little hungry IMO.

thank you. i rub with my 20's and it was never really bothersome to me. it's winter now and the stock rims are just god awful on the z71 and it's time for new tires. everyone on here has a badass tahoe (both lifted and lowered) and mine is boring and broken lol. the summer job income and no more expensive girlfriend will change that!
