I talked to my buddy today and right now he's gonna just replace the one line, as it stands now. But he hasn't had a chance to look at it yet because he's swamped until Wednesday. But while he's at it I'm gonna swap in the nnbs front brakes with steel braided brake lines. Might as well.Be glad you found out this way instead of during a more serious emergency situation!
This reminds me of another experience:
I blew a brake line in my S10 and had a small engine fire. A flex line off the master cylinder had been rubbing a header tube and I never knew it. I slammed on the brakes one time to test the ABS (light was on) and it ruptured, spraying brake fluid all over the header. I debated for about 2 seconds on letting it burn, but concluded that insurance wouldn't pay me shit compared to what I had in it and that snapped me back to my senses. I ripped the windshield washer hose off of the bottom of the hood, reached through the window to hit the washer switch on the steering column and went all mini fireman on it.
So- the newest update to this build is a full set of stainless steel brake lines, yeah?
