I ran out of grease, and I noticed there's a zerk fitting that's missing on the ds, for the inner tie rod. Also I think I need to replace the ps lower bj zerk. The grease wouldn't go in.
F' that cv axle!
I was thinking about @wjburken's suggestion about flattening the Y a little bit when I took these pics.

Ps lower door sill. It's not bad yet, but give it another year!
Temps were 62 today. I'm glad I got it done, rest of the week is gonna be lousy, and they're predicting we might get a snow storm. PERFECT

Compared to my passenger rocker and rear dogleg, yours doesn't look too bad!

I was curious as to why only the passenger side was rusting away - until when i opened the rear door and heard water sloshing around. The door drains were so plugged that I had a good 1/2 gallon of water trapped.

I am surprised that you don't get bothered by the cops doing that kind of work in the street. I doubt the police in my city of 7000 population would let me do that. Lucky !

Maybe if some neighbors called bitching about me....maybe, Idk. I think as long as I'm not doing a motor job on the street or nothing too crazy, I'm fine. I get along with my immediate neighbors too.
My ps dog leg is rusty too.20201124_092523.jpg
I stuck some black rtv in there.
That lower door sill rust is from the running board rubbing on it.

Oh..... I put the new parts back together like the old parts were and the steering wheel is crooked now. Going tomorrow for alignment and tire mounting.
Yeah, I’d expect to need an alignment after replacing those worn out parts..!
