What happened?
It threw the old belt. I thought it might've been the new belt was too big, so I got a smaller belt. The belt sizes were all messed up because I installed a 160 amp alternator awhile ago and it must've had a bigger pulley on it. I couldn't get the old belt back on, so I had to get a bigger belt. The whole situation is a pita. So now putting on the smaller belt was tough, but got it on. Took it for a ride, it was fine--until I romped on it, it threw the belt. Now what I think is happening is possibly the tensioner has too much play. I replaced it probably 2 yrs ago--but it doesn't have much driving time on it.
Does there look like there's too much play? Side to side?
It's the only thing I can think of.
How's it look to you guys?

The tensioner looks normal while running. Can you flip the throttle to see if it throws the belt, put yourself in a safe spot just in case...

Have you checked the alternator pulley alignment? Maybe that's the issue if the problem showed up after your replace it?

Alternator pulley looks good.
How's the tensioner look in the 1st video? There's side to side play. I'm not sure if you can really tell in the video.
I think when I floor it suddenly the pulleys probably jump/jerk causing to throw the belt. That's just my guess.

I just checked the tensioner of one of my trucks. I only measured 10-20 thousands and looks like it's in the actual plastic wheel. Not a lot of movement. Looking at your video again looks a lot more on yours.

Thanks for checking yours out. Pretty sure that's the issue, but it isn't really old
