Just take one cap, and a bolt if you’re going to use the same ones- to ace, and match em up. Stainless of course.

Test it and clean the mounting surface, kind of like shown below. Someone else mentioned using a file and that would work, too, to clean off the rust.

Nice. Very informative, thanks for posting that. There were spacers, so next time I'll leave them out.
