I installed this awhile ago. Hooked it to a keyed pwr course. It lights up with key on, but it doesn't charge. Anyone have an idea why? Maybe the keyed source isn't putting out enough volts? Maybe??View attachment 345362
Could be how you've wired it. Might just be lights showing n that's all?
Thought about wiring to cig lighter power? Guess then it would be on all the time then thoo_O

Should only be 2 wires to connect it. I would think if it’s lit up it should be working. Maybe a bad charging cable?
Yup, only per and ground. Both hooked up. I've used different cables to rule that out. Cables are good.

That's why I wired it to keyed pwr. I didn't want it lit at night while it's parked. Sometimes it sits over a week without starting it. I know LEDs don't draw alot of pwr, but I still don't want it constantly on.

Just documenting my steering shaft replacements.
Did upper and lower shafts. Pain in the balls like everything else on this Hoe! Done--but to 90% correctness. Call it good for government work!
Pics to satisfy all you voyeurs!
Upper shaft. It's best to remove the gas pedal to get to the bolt.

Check out the differences between the old oem design compared to the new design. OEM is on top. I separated the upper shaft into 2 pieces. SPLINES!!

Nice work!
Looks pretty involved. Did you find any steering sensors on your journey?
