There’s no flare on that hard line. It needs something to stop that hose from sliding off. Personally I would make some AN lines and buy some fittings but at the very least, put a flare on that line and use a quality clamp. Sorry to see you stranded bro. It’s also not good for the trans to dump its fluid.
I shut it down as soon as I saw the spray of fluid in my mirror.

I had my trans on my 03 serviced at the dealer once and some one had forgot to put the clip back on or didn't do it right i was driving it the next morning and glanced in my mirror to see huge white puffs of smoke behind me, luckily I was a few hundred feet from a exit so I pulled off and right as I started to go into a parking lot she started to stop moving forward, sure made a mess the fluid was everywhere under the body, dealer had it towed and refilled it. I guess I caught it in time didn't seem to hurt anything my sister is still driving it up in Oregon.

Man, I'm so sorry. Your post made me think that I need to check all my lines from my trucool transmission fluid cooler back. to where I connected the lines. I do like the idea of using AN fittings. I assume they are AN-6?

on the tru cool? no they are a different size but you can get adapters
you need 2 of each of these to complete the setup assuming you did not cut any lines
the fittings go in the trucool adapt to an6 and then adapt 6an back to the radiator, links are below photo's

Flare and AN fittings are the way to go but the next step would be a barbed fitting. If you just use the line, at least flare it and I never ever use a worm gear clamp on something with a hose involved. I use a band clamp, like you see on fuel injection lines. Good luck.

I just looked, trans line popped off like it did 3-4 yrs ago.View attachment 384293
Oh shit, hope the trans didn’t get damaged. So you stopped right away, that should have saved it. Double clamp it, and check on it by pulling on the hose to try and separate it or add a flair like others have said.
