if you leave them off paint the frame too

:word: to this. Possibly the best preventative maintenance I've done. Not to mention it looks better when painted. Also paint the wheel wells, skid plate, and front suspension. Not many people will notice the front suspension and skid plate but it looks pretty badass.

Love it! Hate those stock running boards. When you take them off it seriously grows the truck an extra set of nuts!

Yes a guy on the forums who has Custom OBS Escalade. I would do it too...but not for the DD would scratch to easily. I have Blacked out OBS and I kept the running boards. I am short and my shit is raked like a MOFO and I still use my running boards. Just makes me feel cooler when I step on them. A Napoleon thing I guess...

Painted the frame and took off air dam

Well I had some spare time and painted my frame, and took off the front air dam. I left the hooks on there, because... they are REALLY on there lol.

But here are some pics of the frame and air dam off

Thanks man. Yeah I'm sure as soon as I take them off I'll need them lol. Did you paint your frame too?

EDIT
Oh yeah, and I was wondering if the air dam would have a major affect on the amount of air flow?

Yea I painted my frame, front suspension, skid plate and wheel wells. The frame doesn't look as black in my sig because that pic was taken in my driveway with my driveway reflecting a bit of sun on that side of the truck. The frame is actually satin black. I'll post a pic from the front of my truck to show the suspension.

And nah, it won't have a major effect.

Thought I had a better pic where you could see under there better but you can see a little.
