looks good with the frame painted, id like to paint mine

Thanks pacman! Yeah it's pretty simple I guess, I mean I never really painted anything before. I just went to advanced auto parts and got some black rust protection rattle can paint. I scaped all the built up dirt from the years with this metal wire brush I had, then cleaned it off the frame. Then I layed down a couple of coats of paint then let it dry. I don't know if I did it the "right" way but I was happy with it. You might ask somebody the proper way to do it though.

1. Wire Brush everything your painting
2. Wash it all off with soap and water.
3. Let Dry
4. Put on the rustoleum rusty metal Primer (brush on)
5. First Coat of satin black rustoleum (IIRC it was there HD expensive shit)
6. Second coat.

stand back 2 years later and see it all still on there... :)

I didn't use any brush on primer. I used the spray on rustoleum that said to spray on bare clean metal so I wire-brushed/cleaned the frame. Let it dry, and sprayed like 5-6 good thin coats in about 15-20 min intervals. Cleaned up the underside of the truck today and it hasn't chipped or anything. Happy I did it a few months ago.

Edit: Just for the record; I wasn't trying to say my technique is better. I was just showing another option. My bad if it came across ********-ish. Just realized it could have sounded like I'm trying to be an ******* and thought I would clarify. lol

+1 for your rig without the running boards, and front air dam/valance/wtf. On a 2wd rig that you will lower, eh, maybe, maybe not, I don't know. But on a 4wd, lose that clearance-robbing garbage. Good job getting rid of that big front license plate holder/bumper pimple, too. I went to a junkyard and picked up a set of hooks because the prior owners pulled them off.

i used dupli color (white), no primers or any bs just paint. works great. just mask off what you want left alone and paint the rest. i would leave the chrome in your case.
