So the 92 has a bad TC, Never done just that . Is it worth doing myself? with just a floor jack to hold the trans?

Also any hints and tips dealing with a 700R4?

Dude TCs are easy as pie..... Just make sure you pre-fill it.

Pretty sure mines starting to go as well when I punch it I have to let off the gas then kicks in almost like skipping
