Took my 16 Denali to my dealer on a Tuesday morning in Nov for vibrations, by Wednesday morning they confirmed torque converter needed replacement, by Wed evening I was picking it up. No issues since.

mine is going to the second dealer Monday Feb 12.

If this does not solve the issue- I'm done with it.

Maybe print this thread and take it with you and review it with the service manager.

This sucks. Where do you live?

I saw earlier in the thread that you wrote a letter to GM. Good for you. However, in this day and age I would recommend using social media and posting it on GM’s marketing site on FB for all the world to see. You’ll get a response almost immediately to call a service rep. It’ll be BS but I would still call and keep posting updates to embarrass them into helping you.

I haven’t tried this with GM but it worked with an issue I had with appliances purchased at BestBuy. They literally didn’t give a crap about my issues and told me so (sorry sir, we can’t do anything for for you) until I “went public” on their FB page with how crappy they were treating me. Somehow things got escalated so quickly I felt like I was royalty or something, lol. Just like these boards, the internet is a powerful thing for customers. It doesn’t have to be one customer fighting a hidden battle against a major corporation anymore!

I live on Long Island NY.
I didnt write a letter. I called GM customer service phone number. A rep took a report of what I had to say. That generated a case number. After my experience at the last dealer I called back and the moved to the escalation dept. all that got me was $100 voucher for future service.

The escalation customer service rep claims she has never heard of the buffering issue. I laughed and gave her the TSB.

I have also commented on this on Chevrolet Instagram and Facebook page. I do not use twitter or I would have there as well. No response other than auto generated replies

2/21/2018 UPDATE

I picked the Tahoe up Saturday 2/17. I waited a few days before posting because I wanted to drive a few days on my normal commute.

Here is a LIST of what was done :

A. Road test vehicle slipping 12-23 Pressure ck Ok remove pan ck for debris

disassemble trans assy debris in pan/and in torque converter assy as well as 1234+35 reverse clutches worn disassemble unit to output shaft
8466410 1-2-3-4 clutch plate replacement
2428573 cover kit
24231684 pipe
24248031 housing
24236933 filter kit
24265441 torque converter
24265441 core return
24259848 clutch
24272468 plate kit
24272467 plate pckg
88865601 fluid
88865601 fluid
24222668 slide
24248569 rotor pkg
24245110 gasket
20779889 clamp

B. c/s states drone noise at anywhere between 5mph and 40mph
CAUSE did road test to 50mph nothing abnormal heard

So there you have it. basically my entire transmission replaced under factory warranty- YES the real reason I brought it in- the TSB for wind buffering was not even "heard" and therefore NOTHING DONE ABOUT IT

So, does it feel better or tge same?

I would say it is 90% gone, to the point were it is at least tolerable to drive as compared to before when I literally HATED it and thought of it as a 6000 pound paper weight

Hello, so how does the buffering feel? Is it a vibration? I have a 2016 Yukon I just purchased and feel a vibration that feels like it comes from my seat to the steering wheel. It's not a constant vibration but more like driving through rumble strips with a gap between. So vibrate, stops, vibrates, stop etc...

Dealer balanced tires then replaced one tire. Didn't help i Can feel it most at 50mph less at higher speeds.

Thanks in advance
