I'd tell someone 100. I charged the guy 800 for the magnum which is on the cheaper side. I'll post a couple pics tomorrow so you can see the black sprayed from the gun on a whole dip. Our roof really isn't that bad, use the push pull method like Fonzie says in the youtube videos and also helps to have a small scaffold setup and another person carry the compressor and hose so you don't have to worry about it

Sent some e-mails out to local shops for quotes/info on wraps and repaints, just roof. Repaints just for curiosity, but I don't think it would happen. If I can't find a solid place & price & color for a wrap (really all but 1 place around here seems to only do advertisement-style wraps), I'll shoot you a PM about plastidip supplies. Looking forward to your pics.

Edit: Since you mentioned doing dips for folks, I also searched and found a few facebook-based folks in the area. Sent them e-mails for quotes, again just to see.

I was offered $800 for a full dip, $150 for the roof.

Black gloss full wrap $2850, black pearl $3250, and black chrome upwards of $4000.

Repaint of just roof would be about $900.

I asked the wrap guy for a quote for just the roof. I don't think I want to spend $900, and I do not see it worth it to put 3k down on a wrap. At this point I thsink I am leaning towards dipping. The question then is, DIY or someone with experience? Either way, I would start with the roof, give it a good look, then decide about the rest.

Thoughts?

150 isn't bad if you don't want to mess with it. But its easier to use the dyc gun than a spray can. If you think your going to dip more than your roof in the future, its a good way to save cash rather than paying someone to dip your stuff.

Still sitting on it. Lets say I want to sell the truck in a year or two. Will a dealership not be happy about the plastidipped roof? Will I just have to take it off?

I've seen a Toyota Tacoma at the local Toyota dealership sitting in front of their use car lot with dipped wheels, trim, grille and bumpers. The dip looked pretty crappy also.
