Tow hooks on 2023 Denali

The shackle bracket will bolt up, no issue. You will almost certainly have to do some plastic trimming.

Something else I have noticed that could be explored… the recovery hooks for 2023 and up 1500 trucks are longer and bolt in slightly differently than 2019-2022 1500 trucks. I am curious if the newer recovery hooks will bolt up to a suburban/Tahoe/Yukon and extend from the front bumper enough to be useful.

I’m about to slide under this truck to wire in some 12v outlets in the rear hatch area. Anything in particular I’m looking for? Are these really just a two bolt add on? Yes I would need to create a hole in the plastic on the front to see these. Thanks, I’ll check it out now.

@d_hawk & @Trailzrider - The Rough Country fit guide says that this will not fit a 2023 Yukon Denali. Do I buy it anyway? I do have the port hole on the driver’s side next to the engine heater port hole (Duramax). Appears to be open to framework behind. Do you know if this will work? I will only do the one side due to adaptive cruise.

Btw, we got stuck in deep snow last month and really could have used this on the front! Thanks in advance.

The adaptive cruise sensors utilize the passenger side recovery hook location. You can bolt in a factory recovery hook on the drivers side. There is an access panel that pops off for this purpose.

Problem is that a recovery hook from a Z71 Tahoe or 1500 pickup doesn’t stick out far enough from the bumper to be useful. To my knowledge GM does not make a recovery hook that fits the non Z71/AT4 front bumper properly.

It looks like you can add the rough country shackle brackets to the driver side front end and it will work. A member of this board, trailzrider, has a profile picture of this. Note, trailzrider does not have adaptive cruise so he has recovery points added to driver and passenger sides of his vehicle.

Rough Country said I had 30 days to return them. Let me slide under this thing this weekend and peek around and see what it looks like. I have to undo the lower cover stuff to see up in there; they do a nice job sealing up the undercarriage (wish it was all skidplates, ha!)

I found this pic in another thread. This is what my frame looks like behind that opening (the lower pic). I’ll know more when I open up the bottom and take a look, but this looks somewhat promising.

I found this pic in another thread. This is what my frame looks like behind that opening (the lower pic). I’ll know more when I open up the bottom and take a look, but this looks somewhat promising.
I do not have the adaptive module. All I had to do was cut the opening on the passenger side. I would like to sort out a winch mount. So far the ones I have found state they do not work on the diesel.
