Tow Light

Today I was trying the cheap fix for the Intermediate Steering Shaft by this method http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/31625-diy-for-dummies-int-steering-shaft-clunk-pics/ though it seemed to work but now the tow light is on and won't go off, (infact I've never seen the tow light come on before even after pressing the button). I did have someone hold the steering wheel so it did not move. Can't figure it out, Any ideas?

I don't have a clue. I would pull the plastic covering the steering column and see if the wire is pinched and shorting out maybe?

It`s probably a broken wire. It`s a fairly common on our trucks and easy to fix as described in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtXPwPrXhFc

Fixed it, disconnected the battery for a few minutes. Reconnected and light went off. Now its back working like it should. Still can't figure out why it came on without pressing the tow button. Oh well.
