I bought a 96 2 door with a blown engine and towed it home on a rented equipment trailer,It was very stupid and I would not attempt that much weight again!
Without a WDH and electric brakes.

yes will be getting one. i know people tow more than they should with these suvs so im going to go for it.

My previous 07 Tahoe LTZ towed our 2010 Coachman Freedom Express 290BHS Travel Trailer with zero issues. When loaded it had a total weight around 7500lbs. The WDH leveled things off and reduced the sway.

Here's my ride with a rented 30' bunkhouse and slide, with weight distribution hitch.... Alittle sag but I think as long as you don't drive like you stole it and take off easy you should be fine...
