Best way I found to see what drop I needed for my boat boat was to sit both on a level spot and see where the boat trailer was level. Compare that to where your truck sits and it will give you your drop. Just measure the height difference between the trailer tongue and your receiver. You may want to hook the boat up with whatever hitch you have to see how much it sits the truck down and compensate for the drop by deducting that drop from where the trailer sits level.

I use a 4" drop on my 21 foot boat trailer. Just about any auto parts place should have the trailer adapter.

I use a 5.5" drop on the adjustable trunion with my Reese Dual Cam sway control for the race trailer. I've used a 4" drop with a UHaul trailer and it rode nose high. And I use a 6" drop with a motorcycle trailer I occasionally borrow.

These NNBS vehicles with the receiver hidden in the bumper are way higher off the ground than most other vehicles. My Denali is even higher off the ground than a GMC 2500HD Duramax I tried for towing which surprised me.

Now if I could drop that engine in the Denali I'd have the ultimate tow vehicle.
