Towing mirrors for 15 & 16 Yukon

I'm still looking without much luck. I may have to break down and by a pair of those awful looking clamp on temporary mirrors...sort of looks like clip on sunglasses !!! LOL

Seriously...most people buy a Tahoe, Yukon or other GM SUV to tow stuff at some point. The mirrors they give us are HORRIBLE !!

Has anyone found anything worth buying ?

Agreed, spend $60k for a truck with a tow package and get little tykes mirrors??!!
I would guess we are not looking at gas mileage difference on mirrors. Looking for a bolt on stock looking mirror that should be on a truck that doesn't look like a glob on after thought if anyone knows of anything.

The current wisdom is replacing with the Escalade mirror which on the surface looks like a possible fit.

Does the escalade swap work? As in plug and play? I haven't looked at them but will if it's a larger view and a direct swap.

the plugs are the same ans the mirrors fit i saw a guy who put the regular mirrors on the escalade and the turn signal blind spot all worked but if we put the escalade on our yukons i dont think the camera will work but i am interested

They do finally make an aftermarket tow mirror for 2007-2014 that look like the new style tow mirrors. Give it a little bit longer and I'm sure they'll release ones that will fit the SUV. Demand is there.

So I went to GMpartsnow.com to explore using Using the larger Escalade Mirrors.

Now...in looking at this I discovered that the mounting gaskets are the same for Tahoe/Yukon and Escalade...that tells me that they will physically fit up.

So, I called GM Parts and asked them. They agreed but cautioned that there may be a programming issue with the mirrors based on what equipment is installed on each particular vehicle.

I think they will work but a harness/programming change may be required...any thoughts?

Especially if the camera works! I did the 2016 radio update from MVI and there is a camera icon on the screen now that does nothing!

Do LTZ Tahoe's have a camera option in the mirrors? I'm curious.
