My suburban I just bought does not have the brake controller and like others it has 4 wires with duct tape on them. I was looking at the tekonsha p3 , can someone point me in the right direction on what adaptor I need. They have a harness but it has plugs on it, not sure what I need for those 4 wires. Any help is much appreciated

I recommend you look and find the Yukon that you like, but don't make it a deal breaker if it isn't equipped with a trailer brake controller. Installing a after market trailer brake controller is very easy. My experience over the years is that I prefer the after market controller. I too have been using the Tekonsha P3. No matter what. I recommend towing with a brake controller!
So there are advantages of an aftermarket brake controller, but one major disadvantage would be if you have an electrical issue with the vehicle and a dealer wants to blame it on an aftermarket brake controller install. That would be frustrating.

The P3 comes with a pigtail; if you have a harness with two connectors that's a separate harness you don't necessarily need. The P3's pigtail plugs into the P3 on one end, and has no connector on the other, ready for you to splice into your wires.

EDIT: be sure to make very good splices since a couple of those wires handle some pretty good amperage back to the trailer brakes.
