Did the exhaust clamp work for you? I think mine had been leaking so long that it needs a new gasket or something. It's better, but still leaks and it drives me crazy.

If it was leaking for very long at all, you’re probably right. It doesn’t take long for hot exhaust gasses leaking to eat away at it.
