Need a little help with the TPMS Sensors on my 23 Ultimate Yukon, about a month ago I bought some aftermarket wheels to replace the stock wheels. I used the stock tires and TPMS sensors with the new wheels and everything worked fine no issues with the sensors. A couple of days ago the "Service Tire Monitor" light popped on and I noticed the left rear sensor was not reading the tire. So today I took it to the dealer to see if they could use the tool to relearn the sensors hoping that the one that wasn't reading may end up resetting. Well they had a hard time trying to get any of them to read, they did end up getting them to read except the one that had the issue.

Well now the problem is all of the sensors will not read the tire pressure, I do realize these will auto reset on the highway but I'm not having any luck getting at least 3 of them to read tire pressure. So I went to the dealer with an issue for one TPMS sensor and now all 4 are out, something is going on because I highly doubt all of them went bad at the same time, thanks for any help

have you tried the manual reset?

To manually reset the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on a 2021 Tahoe, you can try these steps:
  1. Turn the key to the "On" position without starting the vehicle
  2. Locate the TPMS reset button, which is usually under the steering wheel
  3. Press and hold the TPMS reset button until the tire pressure light blinks three times
  4. Release the button and start the vehicle
  5. Wait about 20 minutes for the sensor to refresh

I don’t recall reading about any TPMS reset button in the owners manual for the 2021+ models. Do you have information that confirms the presence of such a feature??

I'm not aware of any reset button either, I do know of the button to put the system in learning mode though. So I went to Discount tire to have them try and use their reset tool. So 3 out of the 4 TPMS sensor would read but the 4th would not. What I'm not sure about is why are all of them not reading if only one sensor is bad. I think I'm going to have the replace the bad sensor and see if it fixes the issue, not sure what else to do at this point. The dealer doesn't seem to know either,

If the dealer cannot figure out how to diagnose your TPMS sensors, you need to find a new dealer...that is the craziest thing I have ever heard.

From the Owner's Manual:

So, is your light flashing, or just ON, or not on at all?

Also, note this section on "Replacement Tires and Wheels". Perhaps your new wheels are structured such that the location of the sensor is interfering with the radio frequency trasnmission and makeing the vehicle have a difficult time reading the sensors?

The TPMS Sensor Matching Process works like this, and is automatic...you just need to let the vehicle sit for 20 minutes, and then drive non stop at minimum of 12MPH for 10 minutes.

If these things are not working, my gut says your aftermarket wheels could be the culprit.

Yes thanks for the reply, The dealer couldn't explain to me why they were working fine for a couple of months then one of them stopped reading and now all of them won't read. When trying to reset with the tool, 3 out of the 4 will read but not the 4th. They couldn't explain why if just one sensor is bad the system won't read any of them. For a couple of days only one of the sensor in the "DIC" showed (- -) now they all show the same thing,

I only have experience with the 07-13 but if all 4 of the sensors don't activate with the tool it won't hold any of them in the TPMS system. That's just how the system works. Sounds like the sensors batteries are dying.

You could try another sensor or try parking another vehicle close and read the 4th from the other vehicle. The 4th obviously won't show up in the system but at least that will allow all 4 sensors to save in the system. Then you'll have the 3 remaining ones working.
