I just put 2019 Yukon Denali rims on my 2009 Tahoe LTZ. Anyone know if I can program the tire sensors to work with my truck?

Maybe but probably not. Your system was designed to use sensors on the 315mhz frequency and the 2019 uses that and 433 mhz as standard.

You can try to pair them up with your truck but will probably have to buy new ones.

^^^^^x2^^^^^ You will have to purchase the proper frequency TPMS sensors. I don't know if you can 'disable' the TPMS system, so that it does not give you a dashboard warning, but I would doubt it.

A good TPMS tool/programmer can tell you the frequency and battery levels. Probably best to just take it to a tire shop and ask them if they can get you that info with their programmer/tool.

As far as disabling it, it's not easily done because it's a NHTSA item. That being said, a BT Dieselworks AutoSync can disable it, as well as give you a lot more features/control over some other things.

Break the bead on the wheel and have a look. If they are original and about 5 years old, that's 1-2 years from being dead in the south.

TPMS batteries are a puzzle to me. The one in the rear wheel of my 2016 motorcycle is dead at 32,000 miles. The OEM batts are still working in my 2006 Corvette after 70,000 miles. Ditto still working in my 2008 truck after 130,000 miles.

Wonder if it's miles or age that does 'em in?

If your old sensors were working, why not just swap them into your new wheels?

TPMS sensors are too easy to be resold as new. It’s really one of the worst white elephants in the automotive industry that’s being abused right now.
