The 8-speed transmission in the 2016 Yukon Denali is not dependable. I wanted to get rid of it. I miss the V8 engine but the Acadia Denali is quite comfortable. I thus must leave this forum. I do like the GMC brand over all other GM brands. It is a luxurious brand without being pretentious. I got rid of an Escalade because I felt embarrassed in it. My passengers did not enjoy being bounced around in the Yukon. The 3rd seat legroom was a joke. Again, I will miss the engine but not the transmission. That 8-speed is a failure. Shifting from first to second always caused an unnecessary vibration. I anticipated future trouble. So I dumped the vehicle.

So can I ask a stupid question?

Did you forget about the thread that you posted on 02/28 with the exact same thread title that you never replied to?

http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/thre...n-denali-for-a-2018-gmc-acadia-denali.100948/

With almost the same exact opening post?

The 8-speed transmission in the 2016 Yukon Denali is, in my opinion, a failure. The noise in the passenger seat never ceased. OnStar stopped working because of water infiltration into the antenna. The left-front suspension had to be replaced because of noise. I will miss the 6.2 litre V8, but I grew tired of the problems of the 2016 Yukon Denali. So I traded it in for a 2018 GMC Acadia Denali. It is hard to adjust to a smaller vehicle. But it does not have the 8-speed transmission. It has a simple six-speed transmission. So, goodbye, TahoeYukon forums!

What’s different about this new thread here?
