No you can't get the locally, you might be able to get a pump rebuild kit from the dealership, there is gasket that will need replacing as well ... I get all my trans stuff from bulkparts.com
yeesh! I was trying to get this thing going before we have another snowfall...was planning on having it going before this weekend...
I think the pump out of the first tranny is the 300mm type they have the same casting number except the first one has a lip around the edge. Isn't this a better pump?? I ordered new gaskets and o-rings that are supposed to be here today for the first pump to put into the second tranny should I just go that route?
Yes they are both from a 96. Both have same casting numbers and both say "PWM" on them. Only difference is the extra "lip" and on Ebay I searched apparently these are the 300mm ones...
Mind the years but this is what the old broken one looks like
I test fitted it into the trans and it seems to fit perfectly
Edit* or maybe its not a 300mm (whatever that refers too) but after searching ebay seems as if the non-lip pumps are 93-95 and the lip style ones are 96 & up. But they were both in trannies out of a 96 truck
300MM is the length of the stator sticking out, if you lay the two of them side by side on the back side and look one will be taller then the other, the 300mm I "think" is for the LS based engines ... their convertors and flywheels and a lil different.
Thanks for your replies dude you really helped me alot! So pretty much I put in the good pump with a new seal, o-ring & gasket because I couldn't locate any vanes and stuff like that locally. I'll be putting in the trans this weekend hopefully all goes well and I'll let you know how it turns out...
BTW That's my baby but with the bottom half painted black

So the trans is in and everything is good. Shifts as it should! Sigh of relief..but it's throwing a P0102 code now. It didn't have any codes before. I broke one of the plastic vacuum lines that went from the pcv valve I thought that was the problem but the code is still there even after I fixed the hose...I will try cleaning out the MAF sensor and see if it helps
