When you lift handle, it still doesn't want to go completely in?

- Yes, it does.
If it won't adjust by turning lift latch in body to increase size of body on dip stick to tighten up seal, you are going to probably have to buy new stick. Be sure you buy correct one or may cause problem with correct fluid level in transmission. Sometimes part number is on dip stick somewhere.
Something else you might check is if vent is working on transmission and not clogged if not working pressure could be building up in transmission and pushing dip stick out of tube.

Put a little fluid from the stick on the o ring when you have it out. Make sure the handle is lifted, reinsert, and close handle. If handle doesn't operate properly, get another one. Wrecking yards are really cheap. After all, what is your vehicle other than used parts?
