Does anyone know if the trans mount on the 4x4 is the same as maybe a 1999 tahoe 4x4? i was looking at the different mounts between the 4l60e and the 6l80e, they look the same. i was thinking about swapping it out for the energy suspension mount

It would help if you shared your vehicle info.

I've read that mixing motor and transmission mounts with different materials (like OEM engine mounts with poly transmission mount) may cause issues such as cracked transmission cases... something about torsional stresses.

I would say stick with factory mounts.
