Ok so I have a bluetooth ODB2 adapter on mybYukon and am using the Torque app on my Android phone. Works great, lots of cool things it can measure. My problem is theres a guage I can use to tell the transmission temp on it but apparently that info doesnt get transmitted from the transmission to the ECU. How can I make this work? is there a place to install a factory sensor on the tranny?? I dont really want to install a physical guage because I would only use it when towing and my phone would work fine. Actually better because it could data log the temp on trips.

must be something with your software hardware, combo. the pcm does register it. it is used by the pcm for operational use and it shows up for me using ScanXL on my laptop. but does not show up using a Scangauge 2 using the x-gage coding provided. contact the developer for a possible fix.

I think I found where I can make adjustments to how the software reads the sensor info. Do you happen to know the equation used to figure the temp??

was not much an equation as it was hex/decimal code that reads a specific stream of data variable so to speak. but hey knock yourself out and see what you can program. here is what the scangauge 2 unit can be altered with. just never got the tft to work thru it tho it shows up on the laptop scanner. still have yet to try the others too.

This is all new to me. Theres a place in the sensor managwment info that says equation. It does mention hex and another choice elswhere on the page. The equation box jus has several numbers but when you click on it it doesnt give you choices, just a.cursor to type in what you want. It also has two different methods for reading the temp.. Lots of variables here but ill.give it a shot. Thanks again

I know this is an old thread, but I'm curious if you ever got this to work. I just bought a Bluetooth OBD reader and will buy the app once delivered. Please advise what to do if you got it to work. Thanks

No progress as of yet. I havnt messed with it in awhile but I did send the developers a message. All they suggested was for me to download thier GM specific sensor software, which I already did. If I get it working I will post up how it all went down.

You can add a gauge for less than $100. Why go through the hassle to try and make the torque app work?
